CNN: Special Investigations Unit – Fall of the Fat Cats
Premiere: Saturday, Oct. 18 at 8pm ET. Replay: Sunday, Oct. 19 at 8pm ET
In Fall of the Fat Cats, CNN investigative correspondent Abbie Boudreau and CNN anchor Rick Sanchez take a critical look at the excesses in lifestyle of some Wall Street insiders. During the one-hour investigation, Boudreau reports on Lehman Brother’s CEO Richard Fuld’s houses and bonuses and interviews the self-named “Wolf of Wall Street,” Jordan Belfort, who spent time in prison after cheating his investors out of millions while working at Stratton Oakmont in the early 1990s. Boudreau also goes inside a Wall Street cigar party, held for brokers after work in Manhattan, where they can snack on caviar or get a manicure and haircut. For the special, Sanchez gets reaction from a panel of middle-class Americans and from folks on Twitter, as he interviews Belfort, who will appear live from Los Angeles.
You can see video of the report here.
Also, I’m told viewers can actually weigh in during the program via Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace, and ask questions of the guests.
Here is the vedio clip.
