Just something to consider, reserve currency is usd, not gold. So you are buying a commodity instead of a deposit. And its a commod with very little use during regular days.
Now people knows how to counter the fed. (You wonder why G20 no one blamed japan for money printing? :) If other country eases more, its a delfation pressure on usa, thus cheap commodityin usd. And everyone else gets a risk free money printing happy meal. And when foreign capitals inject, the fed will have more reasons to do less.
Eventually when time comes, gold will see its worst, even worse than scary bond bubble. But every nownthen you get to play its special moment.
Just my little opinion. |
