I like certain part of the strategy, i.e. the risk control part ... the bet is always finite. The account can survive without stop loss, but it's too picky about timing. I guess better for DTing of individual stocks.

Just a comment on using UJPIX in the portfolio. The fund holds NKD futures, as can be seen from the holding info on morningstar.com. However, It's unclear when they set the EOD price. My futures holding is clearly over 2% today, and it should be up 4% due to the claimed 2x long leverage.

This is the problem of holding funds instead of futures, i.e. do it yourself. Unfortunately, we can't trade futures in most people's retirement accounts.

Better stay away from them. I played options 10 years ago. I would think ES/index futures much better.
Only exceptional would be spy options, risk control at avalanche when needed.

That's what I thought, though there are the strategy of selling calls for holding dividend stocks to enhance the yields. This is much safer and recommended in a down trend.

I guess most people are dreaming to be a millionaire overnight when buying naked calls or puts.
