my answer to my Question #1,
3 major pattern were built in from point #2 to #5
1. a pefect 2-leg down (AB=CD pattern), #2 to #3 & #4 to #5 level, each leg is 60 points
2. falling wedge pattern from #2 to #5
3. matching low pattern at zone #5

on 08/31 (last small bar touching 1040), you may ask again,
1. one more leg down?
2. or break out upside?

my view before 09/01 (large white bar),
1. upside break out has more chance (2-leg + matching low pattern)
2. but have to wait for the break out...

It's all about making money, in stock market or any other markets.

It's more difficult to make money in market index position trade these days. It's a lot easier to make money in any other markets.
Break out upside? buy the close and hold it. Simple, and most of them have much more leverage than stock market.

Stock market? you have to care about so many other shits, VIX, sentiment, option p/c ratio, manipulation possibility. Ultimately, you have to prepare to reverse at any moment.
In currency market, if a person buys a strong breakout up at close, more often than not he already gains 100 pips after a night's sleep, that's 25 ES points. Countless examples.

After 09/03 (#6), why I can said, SPX can touch 1130, but not sure 1220...?

1. 09/01 2 major pattern break out, falling wedge & matching low.. the large white bar (30 point in blue box) indicated the rally could up to T1 = 1080+30 =1110, T2 =1080+30+30=1150. So the target between 1110 to 1150..
2. #6 is a continue gap, which means the potential upside is 1090+(1090-1040) = 1140.. which is more than 1130..
3. see the 2 green dash line up channel.. it may more than 1130...

so, do the math, it will touch 1130 for sure...but how it go to there, I really did not know at that time..
