New N8 GLBenchmark tests results are out. I compared N8 with HTC Desire HD, Iphone 4 and Samsung i9000 Galaxy S. N8 HD beats rivals miles and tops in many categories. Not sure if the results are tested with how latest firmware.

These results show how silly ignorant people argue ie. screen res number etc so much. Nokia certainly knows the best how to make hardware without just adding the high numbered hardware which may sacrifice battery lift a lot.

NO 3， Samsugn Samsung I9000 Galaxy S  Daily interest 46% Total hits:2910363 VOTING RESULTS 28404。

这里，IPHONE4 好像比Samsugn Samsung I9000 Galaxy S  早 RELEASE 的。

那些想当然以为Samsung Super-amoled 一定比N8 Amoled 强,  high res Retina led 比N8 low res amoled 强， cpu 越快一定越好的人真无知无畏， 好佩服！动不动要整天抱着充电器很爽么!

Nokia profit 下滑，根本不是PHONE 业务不赚钱，而且RD 的EXPENSE 太高，每年花费 5，6 B， 中间管理层消耗太大，效率低下，还有就是奢侈浪费严重， 只要减少20%费用，EARNING 马上就飞起来了。我是希望新来的CEO 能够有效地进行机构改革，占茅坑不Performing MID manager 砍掉至少10-15%， 机构马上就会出现新气象。

根据Intel Meego conference, 现在QT 的developer 已经35万了. 难怪Jobs 睡不好觉了， 最近 loosen app store software terms. Something interesting is happening.

我看对对Nokia 的分析，凡是提到要Nokia SWITCH 到Android 或者 WIN7， 马上跳过， 根本就是CLUELESS。

Why do you think I did not READ (NOT "CHECK") through all those replies? I know what I can believe and what I can ignore. I have my own information source and  standard to make my own judgement on what is truth instead of the usual baseless critism.

To my understanding, Nokia\s carrier billing for apps makes Ovi store a big difference from apple app store that nokia generously does a favor to carrier in term of app revenue that carriers get benefits from nokia phone app revenue whilist apple controls and collects the money from app revenue. This makes Nokia have better and tighter relationship with carriers. I don\t see why USA carriers still want to be  exceptional with Nokia phone subsidy...

The Nokia Microscope – first seen on the Nokia N73 in the hope to improve the quality of telemedicine. The phone microscope, or cellscope (invented by Professor Daniel Fletcher, new N8 custom build Lew Gardiner) has been used again, this time, to record with the Nokia N8 a ‘s 12mp camera a ground breaking animation – the world’s smallest stop motion character ever in a film, the 9mm ‘Dot’ showcased at Nokia World 2010.

This is created by Sumo Science at Ardman Studios, makers of ‘Wallace and Grommit’ ‘Shaun the Sheep’ and ‘Chicken Run’. As you’ll find out in the second video, this being a stop motion is recorded using still images of full resolution 4000×3000 images (not from the N8′s HD video). So technically this could have been watched in 1080p (or beyond though there aren’t any consumer screens for that).

Aardman used innovative Rapid Prototyping 3D printing technology that uses a computer-generated model of an object or character and then prints it in full 3D using a plastic resin material.

The entire set was no more than a metre and a half long, all elements of which were used to help sell the scale of the project to the viewer. The film was painted under a microscope by expert modelmakers and animated using tweezers; “It became a real test of working at such a small scale, and in having the patience to push on through ‘til the end’” said Aardman director Ed Patterson.

“The final film has come out better than we could have hoped for. It was great collaborating with Wieden + Kennedy and to gel so well creatively. The Nokia N8 stood up to the challenge and produced some outstanding images”.

Augmented reality interactive magazine with Nokia N8 and Junaio coming soon to OVI

Here’s an incredible  app coming soon to the Ovi Store. It’s called Junaio and it uses the Nokia N8′s (or any) camera to project an alternative augmented reality on the phone’s display. What’s really cool is that the content was partnered with a magazine. An ordinary paper print superficially, but when combined with Junaio you get the aditional animated content hovering over your phone. Some parts are in 3D and look incredible on the display.

Did not have much in-depth research in RIMM. What I know is that to bolster American own names, Wall street, its alliance and all the kind have put the propaganda agenda of exagerating the weakness and problems to RIMM,  whilst  Nokia was the victim target a while ago . The embarrassment is Apple market share is slipping and Google doesn't directly benefit from Android boom in term of both revenue and profits...
