I like:

1. significant bar
2. 2 bar break out
3. corrective movement length.

I like 2 bar breakout the most.
significant bar is mystery. It's hard to explain. Take a look at USDJPY daily chart, after that long bull bar generated by Jap government, market dropped MM, to almost the pip.

corrective move is the bear flag from  41 - 55

I think Al Brooks' core is reversal trade. He can be a top 1% ES trader. But I really think his method doesn't work well in currency.

    I agree, when liquidity is abundant, the market will always trap and squeeze traders. But ForEx is a different story, I heard (from you?) that is because central banks are big players on ForEx market and they will create sustainable trend lasting for even years.
