Navalny's doctors have urged him to immediately end his hunger strike, warning that he may die. Thousands of Russians rallied on Wednesday demanding his release.

Mr Wright, a black man, was shot dead by police officer Kim Potter during a routine traffic stop in the Brooklyn Center suburb of the city. The officer has since resigned and been charged with second-degree manslaughter.

The traditional event is part of Sechselauten, a Spring festival. The belief is that the longer it takes for the snowman's head to explode, the warmer the summer will be.
