Plitvice Lakes National Park is seen in aerial view. Every autumn the forests surrounding the Azure Lakes undergo a dramatic transformation, as the leaves explode to create a kaleidoscope of contrasting colours. The park is famous for distinctive banks of porous rocks that divide the lakes here, and make up the waterfalls too, theyâre called "Tufa Barriers." Plitvice Lakes constantly change their shapes, due to the growth and erosion of the tufa barriers. This is from Europe From Above, season 6
