For context, the U.S. residential investment peaked at 6.7% in 2006 during the housing bubble. The current rate in the U.S. is just 4.3%, having also sharply accelerated faster than GDP in the third quarter. Just not nearly as much as Canada.

可能不能看US。US毕竟工业，科技强大，所以房地产份额小是正常的。加拿大这次房产占GDP比例升高还因为其他产业都因为疫情下跌。

只是如果加拿大长期靠房地产（其实就是移民的老鼠会）的话，那么以后问题会越来越大：房地产绑架了所有的消费，本来西方经济是靠消费带动的，所以房地产越涨，经济可能越是死水一滩，最后越是得靠房地产，从而恶性循环。中国房地产能一直增长还有原因是中国的经济一路飞速增长。加拿大就没有这么好的事情了。
