       中国华为企业副总裁兼财务总监孟晚舟去年12月初过境加拿大遭到加拿大警方逮捕，加拿大应美国引渡要求而为，而美国据信根据 汇丰银行机构提供资料指控孟晚舟违反美国制裁伊朗等法规。有消息指汇丰银行就此向中国方面澄清或求情。

　　报道指英国《金融时报》引述消息人士称，汇控发起游说活动，以说服中国政府，汇控在孟晚舟被捕一案上不应负上责任。

　　据汇控行政总裁范宁（John Flint）及其他高级代表向中国官员称，美国司法部要求汇控提供有关华为的资讯，汇控在别无选择下，只能配合调查。

　　该报道指，范宁今年初与中国驻英国大使的会晤中，为汇控与司法部合作调查一事进行辩护。
