The exposed stone wall in this old-fashioned dining area serves as a soft backdrop for the pink hues throughout the room. The small, white dining table complements the nearby kitchen cabinets, and the chairs echo the soft curves of the cabinet and mantel molding. Design by Dave Stimmel.
Warm and Bright
Glass mosaic tile set in a random pattern adds shimmer and color while the cork flooring and cabinetry add warmth. The ceiling heights were different on either side of the existing beam, so the built-in wine cubbies help to divide the upper cabinets that are at different heights. Design by Amy Bubier.
Neutral Backdrop
Cabinetry in a neutral shade allows accessories to stand out. Bar stools with upholstered seats and an eye-catching light fixture over the breakfast table draw the eye.
Green and Green
This kitchen plays with the eco-friendly green concept and literally showcases the color green. Eco-friendly features include bamboo floors, fluorescent lamps, Energy Star appliances, low-VOC paint and stain, and custom furniture made with FSC wood. Design by Lori Dennis.
