Really a short-sighted stupid move of the Nobel panel. They did not learn any lesson from awarding Dalai and were still indulged in a happy and ignorance mood from the success of bringing down Russia and Eastern Europe.
They could have done a much better job and throw a much harder question to China by awarding Premier Wen recognizing Wen's sympathy towards studends in '89 and political reform and his actions that lowered the military conflict threat in the Taiwan Strait. If Wen accepts it, that means China bows to the Western value. If Wen refuses it, China needs to find a good reason. Either way, the move would further divide the left and right wings of TG and has some possibility to cause some political earthquake in China.
Awarding Liu did nothing other than reaffirming Nobel Peace is a political tool for the masters to award good servants (didn't Liu say China should be colonized for at least 300 years?). |
