澳政府:尊重判决， Stern Hu无需上诉！

BEIJING -(Dow Jones)- The Australian government said Thursday it respects the decision by Australian national Stern Hu not to appeal his prison sentence.
"It has been a matter for Stern Hu and his lawyers," Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said in an emailed statement. "We will continue to provide Mr. Hu with all consular assistance."
Earlier, Hu's lawyer, Shi Keqiang, said that after meeting his client and Hu's family on Thursday, Hu made the final decision not to appeal.
A Chinese court convicted Hu and three Chinese colleagues--Ge Minqiang, Liu Caikui and Wang Yong--last week of bribery and stealing commercial secrets related to iron-ore talks when they were employed by Rio Tinto PLC (RTP).
