AFAIK, google is facing copyright lawsuit in China.

And google is a media company, not a high-tech company, which really is not very useful to China. The government probably is reluctant to see it's gaining ground in China.

BTW, how does google know the gamil accounts are used by human rights activists, not by dogs  at the same time it claims to protect the consumer privacy   it's just a shameless hoax
