La Quinta (LQ) was in an uptrend but has stalled since December, unable to climb past resistance between $22.25 and $22.50 despite multiple attempts. A continued decline below the Feb. 6 low of $21.52 indicates this most recent attempt to breach the resistance area has also failed. The most recent failed attempts to move higher saw the price sink to $20.23 and $19.76. If the price can break through resistance the target is $25. If the price continues to decline, though, dropping below recent swing lows, the target is $18 — near the October low.
