The Queen made a seemingly spectacular entrance to the Opening Ceremony as she parachuted from a helicopter into the Olympic Stadium accompanied by James Bond actor Daniel Craig. The crowd gasped as she fell from the chopper under a Union Flag parachute and then took her place in the Royal Box with slightly ruffled hair. It followed a short film clip in which Craig soared above the streets of London to Buckingham Palace to collect her.
