我出了一道物理题考我的外孙女：冬天给树穿衣服保温，有没有用？她回答说没用。我很高兴，答对了。因为树内部不发热，无温可保。可是北京市的有关部门每年都花好多钱，做这种无用的事。我在新京报上批评了他们。但是没用。他们继续做这种违反物理学的事。他们用人体的感觉去体谅树木的“感觉”。

the answer is always depends.  Not right or wrong.  some tree do need to be protected from freezing temperature.
think this way, plants are just like trees and generate no heat by themselves, then why bother with green house.
