加拿大传教士在日本大地震中逝世

【天亚社．东京讯】日本受地震和海啸打击最严重的东北部仙台教区，目前已知一位加拿大籍传教士在灾难后不幸死亡。

　　日本主教团今天（三月十四日）在其网站上，开设东北地区太平洋地震相关消息的专页。其中由仙台教区秘书长小松史朗神父发布的讣告说，魁北克外方传教会安德肋．拉沙佩勒神父（André Lachapelle，图）在灾难中受惊，引发心脏麻痺死亡，享年七十六岁。

　　仙台教区覆蓋青森、岩手、宫城及福岛四县，是这次地震和海啸的重灾区。

　　拉沙佩勒神父是宫城县盐釜堂区的主任司铎，一直致力推动正义和平方面的工作。在三月十一日地震发生时，他身处仙台市，于震后返回距仙台东北十五公里的盐釜教堂时，在路上去世。

　　教区将于三月十五日为他举行守夜祈祷，葬礼时间未定。

　　小松神父亦指出，教区主教平贺彻夫没有受伤。由于通讯中断，教区还没收到灾区现场的详细报告。

　　他续说，目前无法收集沿海地方几所教堂的情况，其中岩手县宫古堂区由于靠近海岸线，估计已在海啸中损毁，福岛县须贺川教堂也无法使用，至于仙台市内八所教堂祇受到轻微损毁。青森县所有教堂及其他各县的内陆教堂均没有受灾。

　　埼玉教区网站也发布了茨城县受灾情况，包括沿岸一些教友家庭的房屋受到海啸侵袭，目前栖身于附近的学校。由于茨城地区停电，教区无法以电话联络，谷大二主教于十三日前往几个堂区视察，得悉神父及教友没有伤亡，建筑物则轻微受损，室内物品散落一地。

This one? Wars & disasters have been happening all the time through human history, so it's a no brain prediction to predict it will & always happen again in the future.

    I have no problems to understand the verse 7 of charpter 24 that imply or to be translated to the meaning in which the more and more disasters or earthquakes will be happened in the future.

What is the word indicating 'more and more' from the original verse?

It only says 'there will be...'

If there were 10 wars in the past year, and 5 wars in the present year, but only 2 wars in the next year. It's still correct to say 'there will be wars in the next year', am I correct? The same thing will still happen in the future, but it can be less and less but not more and more.

    Go to WiKi, and find the number of big earthquakes to see if it's increased or reduced in period of years, for example 50 years

    It's now about whether the Bible has said so, it's nothing to do with Wiki.

If the Bible doesn't say so, then you should not interpret this way no matter if it's supported by Wiki or not.

For you as a Christian, it's very important no to misinterpret or misunderstand the Bible, isn't it?

In fact, there are 53 earthquakes (> 5.0 ) had happened since 2003 (only in 8 years) .
