WYNN $8 dividend, but what if short?

Wynn said its board had approved a cash dividend of $8 a share, payable on Dec. 7 to stockholders of record as of Nov. 23. So what will happen to its price on Nov. 24? Will it go down $8? What if I am shorting the stock? Do I need to pay $8? Thanks!
