Bearish Engulfing

This pattern signals a trend...
Reversal

How to identify...
1. The color of the 1st day's body reflects the trend, however could be a doji.
2. The 2nd day's real body engulfs the 1st day's body.

Similar pattern(s)...
The Bearish Engulfing formation is the start of the Bearish Three Outside Down candlestick pattern.

Psychology...
If not much volume occurs on the 1st day of the Bearish Engulfing formation compared to the 2nd day, then this increases the strength of the pattern. The 2nd day opens above the close of the 1st day, however quickly sells off to finally close below the open of the 1st day. This damages the spirits of the longs and brings into question the bull trend which prompts additional selling in the coming days.

Also, I remember cobra had some special comments on this pattern. If I remembered correct, he thinks Bearish Engulfing can be bullish in certain situation.

Let me try to find it, if I am lucky.

If cobra laoda can give comments here, that would be even better...

我想呀，可能这个定式fail的原因（之一）是周一是个Gravestone，TA know-how们多把GS当成反转信号，今天开盘好多人套利出局是正常的呀。是否能解释蛇老大所观察的呢？

这个形态的反例太多，在商品期货里比比皆是。还是综合多项数据才能提高胜率。
