Don't quite get all the clues that you are intending to talk about, ie the relevance of the comparison between Verizon and Vodafone. Of course, I know sth about both Vodafone and Verizon and I am aware of the owership between them...

However, I try to respond something that might be relevant to this topic I initiated.

If I remember correctly, Nokia has 140 years history. In modern times, Nokia has done business like rubber, television, computer including display. In 1999, it still had a business division of display. Nokia's products haven been known the best quality in Finland and Finns are so proud of their own products. Nowadays, there are still Nokia brand rubber products (made by the split Nokia) such as rain coats and rubber shoes etc  which are usually 2-3 times more expensive than cheaper ones in shops. Nokia rubber products do last much longer than cheaper ones so people like me do buy in spite of high price.

Due to Nokia long history in hardware such as TV set, computers, displays ect, surely Nokia has the profound knowledge as well as ability of  how to select the best chips and have altertives, in terms of technology, cost and performance including power, computing and graphics. It is strange to say that the chips makers are bored with Nokia. Don't they still want to do business with Nokia? They can always choose not to have business with Nokia. Your argument sounds ulterly pointless...

Moorestown is a code name for Intel MID platforms using Atom processor core. You say "Mooretown is better than atom on PM side," like saying "N8 is better than Symbian3" or "Froyo is better than Android". Maybe not exactly, but you know what I mean...

Apple has the bigger ecosystem in terms of the apps in its app store. If ecosystem is the only reason/factor why people buy phones, everyone should want to apple iphones but why the hell apple share is slipping in both the usa and global markets?

When talking about the saturation of ecosystem, yes, for the USA, Apple ecosystem is a super bubble and game over may come sooner or later no matter what. But for other phone makers, especially for the world wide scale,  the game race or the war for Nokia just started.  Not only for phones, everything potential, you name and find the clues yourself,  Intel's Moorestown and Meego on the top of Intel Moorestown look very promising ...

We were fully expecting to get hold of the long-awaited Nokia N8 smart phone by the end of this month or 1 October at the latest, but it appears we have to wait another few weeks -- even though the phone's ad campaign is already in full swing.

"The amount of preorders has exceeded our expectations and we are working hard to deliver the Nokia N8 to the market," Nokia said in a statement. "In some markets, we had planned to start delivering the Nokia N8s to our pre-order customers by the end of September. To ensure a great user experience, we've decided to hold the shipments for a few weeks to do some final amends."

It's Nokia's second official delay of the N8. The phone was originally slated to arrive in June, but software renewal took longer than expected, Reuters reported, meaning we would see it at the end of September. But that won't be the case now.

Nokia claims it has seen strong pre-order demand for the new Symbian 3 smart phone, which we seem to have been waiting an eternity for. If you're a regular reader you'll know the specs, but it will come with a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen and rather flash 12-megapixel camera, which'll be able to shoot 720p video.

This means the N8 will probably arrive after the debut of the HTC Desire HD and Z. It's a strange delay, as Nokia has had more than enough time to work on the software and hardware. If we were to take a total stab in the dark, perhaps Nokia wants the N8 to be released after the new Desires, which are due at the beginning of next month, and have already gone buzztacular on the Web.

Why would we suggest that? From what we saw at Nokia World, the Finnish company was absolutely spitting mad with HTC for stealing the thunder -- not to mention journalists -- from the launch of its new phones, the E7, C6-01 and C7. There was some hilarious friction between the two companies, and if you were Nokia management you might be determined HTC wouldn't pee on your parade again.

Think of a major movie moving its release date to avoid clashing with an even bigger blockbuster, one with gallons of Internet buzz. Perhaps Nokia has technical reasons for the delay, but that sounds like trouble -- it isn't convinced it has a surefire hit on its hands and wants another round of focus grouping and a last-minute cut here and there.

The delay may even convince people to hold out for other phones such as the E7, or perhaps even a MeeGo-running N9. Or the worst case scenario for Nokia: go for a new HTC Desire.

Haha, good news again from gizmodo and techcrunch countries for desperate Nokia haters?

Nokia have famous and unique diehard fans, do you know why?

Nokia conversations, Nokia’s official blog posted an update on their website clarifying the reports that came from Engadget saying the N8 has been delayed for a few week’s.

ESPOO, Finland – There have been a few stories this morning about the N8 availability which we feel need clarification. As we have previously said, we still expect to start the shipments by the end of the third quarter. As with every global launch, when the device reaches the hand of the customer will vary by market and operator.

We have received a record number of online pre-orders for the Nokia N8. We had targeted our online pre-order customers to receive their N8s by the end of September. As it can take time from the beginning of shipment to arriving at their doorstep, in full transparency, we have advised our pre-order customers that they should expect their new Nokia N8 in October.

The drop of Nokia share price is a BUY chance.

According to my personal source that is very reliable and close, there was a delay for fixes. But NOTHING really  serious and they already have had a public release candidate. I think QA people have received permission to do overtime work (for paid overtime work). If everything is fine, I expect N8 will be released in less than 2 weeks. Let's see...

Nokia has sold  50M  5800XM units so far. This N8-00 may not be this big deal but it will be the top of the best sell phone in 2010, I am very confident!
