PT, ST & DT

I believe that most HTers are traders, but using different time frames which can be categorized as three groups,

Position Trade (PT), holding time is about 1 to 3 months, will be based on weekly or daily chart.

Swing Trade (ST), holding time is from few days to 4 weeks.  Daily chart or intraday charts are the basis for this group. Slow ST use daily or 60-min chart. Fast ST normally 30min chart or even lower to 15min chart. Majority of traders belong to this group.

Day Trade (DT), never hold position overnight. 5-min chart is most popular for this group. But 1-min to 3-min also has a lots of lovers. Most DTers just do 1 to 2 trades per day. Some of them are working very hard, could be as high as a dozen trades per day. Have you heard the story of 100 trades per day?

Because the traders are trading different time frames, the view (bull or bear, long or short) for the same price at the same time are completely different. For you is buy, for others, may be short.

So, please be carful about other’s calls on short or long. Now, I try to figure out the trade style, type, and time frame of the famous traders in HT.  Do you want to join me? Please!

You are completely correct.

For me, I do PT if I am underwater (seems no better choice).st when I have sometimes to check the trend, and dt when I am completedly free of day...

what of boss cobra? ST?

    我都有啊。你看看我的缠论贴子里，最近几次都是DT和ST, 有些当天开了舱位当天获利了结，有些就会拿到第二天才获利了结。如果被套住了，那就慢慢解套，在水下hold一个多月也是有的。
