    RIM这公司确实很让人失望，这么多年也没啥突破，我本人本来还是很喜欢blackberry的，但是这公司搞新产品实在太慢，一个pearl 3g搞了这么久还没进美国市场，现在又要挑战ipad, 何必呢

RIM 的TABLET 将是个Killer Product， 我是指Kill itself，触摸屏UI 和多媒体是RIM的软肋，同时又缺乏应用程序的提供者群体。3年后的SmartPhone市场将会是：

1. iPhone
2. HTC & others - Android OS enabled phones.
3. BlackBerry
4. WinMobile OS enabled phones.

If you count iPhone & iPAD as multimedia mobile terminal device category,  then Apple will be the dominant end-to-end service/product provider,  because it has massive content with its alliance application developers, watch the next wave will be the media - eMagzine on iPAD like devices.

Apple's share in high-end smartphone market is about 15%, in the whole phone market share is less than 3%. One phone model is deemed not be able to dominate the market.  IOS has been lacking a lot of hard core functionality as a phone os.  Iphone wass an innovative creation for smartphone market, but the innovation is mainly focused on user interface experience and so called app store full of crappy software that should not be there in the first place. This is not enough for hard core mobile phone users!

Time will tell. Mark all my words about mobile phone market in this forum...

Talking about the Openess,  do you think BlackBerry  OS is opener than Apple's iPhone OS?  At least there are a lot app developers working on iPhone , much more than those working for BlackBerry.

What I saw 3 years ago when I was working for the Candian smartphone maker,  the market research companies provided market intelligence data to RIM already hinted the iPhonse blast,  which became true nowday even bigger than original estimates.

Open system != open source system. WinOS basically supports everything. It is considered the open os for PC...

In the past 3 yrs, Apple has been taking advantages of the problems of other phone makers, especially Nokia. Now it is time for others to take advantages of Apple's problems.

Current Apple's app store is full of crappy applications lacking of certain level of quality. The favorite of platforms for developers never stay still. I have said new game change is in place already. Time will tell in 3-5 years...

I agree with u on that apple will just repeat its history of 20 years ago, and will probably one day (after Jobs) be a company similar to Sony today.

Android based phone has already taken the lead in the smart phone market. I see andriod as the future windows on smart phones.
