weekly volume very low for most stocks

Just find out that this week's trading volume of most stocks are very low compared with previous 2-3 weeks. I am curious who are buying now to push the market higher.

I am using a software to treat every Monday as the last day of previous week. Every Tuesday is the first day of the new week.
