Compare to 2 weeks ago, the number of shares short of every China solar company is increased.

So, more people are shorting China solar shares.

Especially for SOLF, this number jumped 62.4%.

 

Also, please be noticed, some stock is not very active, so although the number of shares short are not big, but compare to the average daily volume, it can be more significant.

For example, TSL has 3.3M shares short, which is 2.4 times of its average daily volume. At the same time, LDK has 9M shares short, but since its daily average volume is larger, so, it needs 1.3 days of average daily volume, which is less.

 

Compare the number of shares short to the total floating/outstanding shares will also tell how heavily the stock is shorted.

你用前面的高点算算，就是最鼎盛时期的时候，看看有多少达标的，这就解释为什么short interest提高的原因了。
