NYSE Short Interest Ratio (SIR) 就是 = Total number of shares of NYSE stocks that have been sold short / Average Daily Trading Volume

IBD每天都有更新，俺最进两年观察下来，发现挺管用的：

上面12个月的：


注意几次spike都发生在什么时候。上面12个月NYSE SIR最低的两个位置是10月底和3月中，现在又涨到了年初的水平了。

an increase in SI ratio is a long term bullish signal. - It doesn't means the bull will definitely come in two months, but giving the large % investment advisor having bullish view and an ever-increasing SI ratio currently, the bull is very likely coming.

More NYSE SIR from 2005-2006, it seems the only time they got really wrong was in late 2006.

Also, notice how low the NYSE SIR was before summer 2007:
