In southern France, the town of Cordes-sur-Ciel lives up to its name by rising above low clouds in the surrounding valley. Home to about 1,000 people, the town dates back to 1222.

The heat and weather of the Israeli desert dried and preserved this chameleon after it died midstep. "When I looked into her eyes, I felt like she is still alive," says Your Shot photographer Yair Dvir. "Her eye was looking into my eye, no matter which direction I looked."
