sadly but that is the truth. I would think day in day out there are quite a lots traffic going through Hutong every day, but if you see the people really participate into the discussion and activities, that are only hand full. Look at the thread "brcm 新婚大喜", I see so many ID i have never seen since I am here. Congratulate to brcm, that is good for him. But what does this mean to this community?
for the people do contribute to this community, that is a bit/huge disappointment to see whatever he put into this community but no feedback, no serious discussion around it, just few emoji follow up. I am sorry , I am kind new to here. Thanks for few 老大抬举我， put me here in this position. But I do not think I deserve the title, cause I am not a good trader. And I have not done my deed to this community. So I am humbly asking all of you sincerely, what we can do/change to make this community a better learning, open discussion, exchange ideas place? Selfishly I like to learn from all of you, but if I have not much to contribute, I will do whatever to keep up my share, even if that mean I have to pose nude photo every day. LOL
Joking aside, I think trading is a lonely business, cause some time you might not be able to discuss your trade with your family member or real life friends. But we do need to bounce trading ideas each other, cause we might not cover all angels, and we like to see other side of view. So how can we encourage a better environment in Hutong?
I had proposed an idea. The idea is to have a separate Black Room(BR). The BR is for few that want to serious discuss trading ideas but do not want public to view it. there should be only one BR, otherwise we will end up to many smaller group. The BR would kick out people that no longer active in discussion. the BR would also invite temporary outside member say 3 month or 6 month like probation period. The BR could also sell visitor pass (using hutong dollar to buy), so the normally people could take a peek into the discussion but the purpose is to encourage outside people to discuss and watering and earn Hutong dollar. The BR members are required to talk freely inside BR, but also required to discuss once a while outside the BR so to stir up the water outside.
Please give your serious thought and feed back on this idea. I am not technical, So I do not know how difficult to implement this idea. And I am sorry to Old Snake that I might step on his tail on this idea. My apologize to him.  |
