巴菲特英名不保，亏损30亿美元
去年巴菲特投资IBM损失惨重，从2014年10月IBM公布第三季度财报后，该公司股价就一蹶不振，走出了一波跳水行情。数据显示，截止2014年9月30日，巴菲特旗下的伯克希尔公司持有的IBM仓位增加了0.43%至70,478,012股。

　　巴菲特被世人所熟知的是他在挑选投资股票方面拥有出众的眼光，而如今巴菲特表示他将把工作重心转移至以企业并购为主的业务方面。与此同时巴菲特还将致力于使得自己在过去五十年时间里所收购的企业释放出更大的利益惠及投资者，这些企业包括电力公司、制造业企业以及零售商等等。

　　除了IBM外，让股神称号“蒙羞”的还有对乐购的投资。英国零售巨头乐购公司的股价在2014年中蒸发了43%，而就在当年年底乐购宣布下调先前给出的企业盈利预期值。2014年第三季度内伯克希尔哈撒韦表示其所持有的乐购股份亏损6.87亿美元，而股神自己也承认投资乐购是一个“巨大的错误”。

　　近期，纳斯达克网站就要公布截止12月30日伯克希尔持股的最新情况。我们拭目以待，看看股神是否有新的动作。

try to think about the following...

What are IBM's businesses? Which one are growing, which one is not doing well? What is IBM doing about it? Is it working?

How can we value IBM?

How's IBM's earning in last 10 years? Did fundamentals change?
What businesses make up IBMs revenue and earning 10 years ago? What about today?
What is IBM's profit margin? What return on asset is IBM generating? How sustainable is IBM's business?

Very unlikely.
With all the issues IBM is having, its businesses remain highly profitable, its fundamentals are still sound.
