未来的宗教将是宇宙的宗教。它应当超越个人化的神，避免教条和神学，涵盖自然和精神两方面。它的根基，应建立在某种宗教意识之上，这种宗教意识的来源，是在把所有自然的和精神的事物作为一个有意义的整体来经历时得到的体验。佛教正是以上所描述的那种宗教。如果有一个能够应付现代科学需求，又能与科学相依共存的宗教，那必定是佛教。

The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism.
