Al,  thank you for the note re the  EUR and its EW count as opposed to the Cable.  Impulse waves always have 5 waves, corrective always have 3.



I attach monthly chart counting EWs.  Wave 1 (always an impulse wave having 5 waves) is most often the shortest impulse wave because most traders do not recognize that a longer term trend change has occurred.   Wave 2 corrects Wave 1 and always has 3 waves down which often retraces to Fibonacci  78.6 or lower Fib. level with a close at or above point X the point of beginning.  Wave 2 has a deep retrace because traders who have been previously short think the down trend is continuing, which is not the case at all.  Long term market makers start buying the lows of Wave 2 in anticipation of the beginning of Wave 3, always an impulse wave, often the longest and never the shortest wave in the cycle.



RSI is the penultimate indicator along with price itself which accurately identifies EW count.  As indicated above Wave 3 always has 5 waves (impulse waves).  In this chart example RSI accurately identifies each of the 5 waves up to the high of longer term Wave 3, see the chart count.  RSI recognizes Wave 4 corrective waves (3) for a RSI low below 50.   From the low of Wave 4 to the ultimate high of longer term Wave 3 there will also be 5 waves up which may be viewed using the 4 hour period which will RSI trace these waves.  Longer term Wave 3 high is accurately identified by the highest RSI.  Often the highest MACD value also will identify Wave 3 high (or low in the case of an impulse corrective cycle)



Subsequent to Wave 3 high, price traced an A, B, and  C corrective pattern with RSI below 50.  Price has traced Wave 1 up and part of Wave 2 down which are part of longer term Wave 5 high which will generate a CND between the high of Wave 3 and 5.  



The entire EW pattern/count is an upright head and shoulder price pattern.  Wave 3 high is the left shoulder and wave 5 will be the head when complete.  It must be recalled that price may trace a truncated Wave 5 high which would form a double top.



The various fractal highs and lows which are confirmed by RSI valleys or peaks correctly identify each Wave.  



Cable traces a different but somewhat similar EW cycle.

看看 Loren 的交易记录吧，他用Mo,Wk charts 看趋势，用 H1，H4 charts 来交易，单下得极准，炒的是以日，周为单位的波段。
