关于美元,转自Barron's "Five Modern Myths".
"The dollar is collapsing." Not really. Sure, it's been in a well-defined downtrend since March, and is not far from record lows against other major currencies and gold. And, for sure, its decline has been a tailwind for riskier assets such as stocks and commodities. But the ICE U.S. Dollar Index is about where it was a year ago, and is above where it spent much of 2008. It's just that the panic-driven safety trade that boosted the dollar in the March market-reversal has been fully unwound. This doesn't mean the dollar looks terribly healthy -- but that there's room and time for it to continue sliding steadily before any "dollar crisis" is at hand. |
