Sarkozy told French lawmakers that a dispute over how to boost the firepower of the European Financial Stability Facility, the region's bailout fund, had stalled talks, Reuters reported. Officials are gathered in Frankfurt for a farewell ceremony for Trichet, who leaves the ECB at the end of the month.

It seems somebody does not care any bad news this month. They just want to push up the indices, no matter what.

This rally wave since Oct 4 coincides with POMO schedule in date. Thus I guess that is the people who received the POMO money pushed up the indices.

So, it is very likely they will continue doing that until POMO finishes.

Based on this news, I think a better time to bet the downward move would be AFTER the news that would lead to a firework most likely early next week ...
