FRANKFURT (MarketWatch) -- Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi won a routine budget vote on Wednesday, but appeared to lose his parliamentary majority, news reports said. The government's report on its 2010 public accounts received the backing of 308 lawmakers, news reports said. That's short of the 316 needed for an absolute majority in the 630-seat Chamber of Deputies. Opposition lawmakers abstained from the vote. |
