For stock trading, yes, 20k is enough to test you. However, for trading futures, you have to have more than that.

俺觉得不是每个人都适合trade的。记得以前多吉说过，大致意思是， 拿两万块去玩，就知道自己是不是块料了 ...

投资房子 was a good idea in China. It is never a good idea in US. The maintanence and tax/insurance/repair over long term in US is too much for a house unless you'd like to deal with renters and rent it out.  My honest opinion, period.

Very true, options are dangerous because of time decay and volatility. I only play it with 5% of my money.

Totally agree, but my favorite two financial companies are C and JPM. (I loaded them 2 weeks ago at 3.65 and 35.7 in my roth IRA account). They are the only two holdings in my roth IRA account right now. I will hold them for a while no matter what.

No, it will be better to invest something low risk with ave 5% guaranteed yearly return. Over 10 years, it will be up about 60%. This is at least as good as investing a house and safer than investing a house with less trouble. But it is a totally different stody in China. In past 10 years, investing houses is the King at China.

2008年的market就到达了6.9B USD。不是你说的5B USD。

CREE的优势在于高成长性，这个趋势没有减缓的迹象。


到2014年，LED市场将成长到20B USD。不要小看了这个市场的潜力。

最后，你看CREE不顺眼，请您使劲烧，我要Reload，还嫌价格太高了，砸得越低越好。
