I am not saying the pattern matches. What I meant is that one-day does not make a trend.

the pattern didn't match exactly, not a mdd or mad as I see.

This happened several times in the past year. Statistically, no conclusion can be made. 50% chance is to bottom here and 50% chance is to continue downtrend. SPX 1040 is still important, I would become a bear once 1040 was broken. Before that, I am a bull.

the reason I am say it is still in the downtrend is that today mdd cancels the yesterday mad.  the mad from yesterday is called reverse-up, now it is canceled.  the market backs to the downtrend.  I still believe CM, the bottom is in or very close.

From the past year's daily chart, it was a very common pattern like Friday and today when a bottom was reached. So there is no clear conclusion to be made just based on today's one day drop. Also, stock trading is art not science. Although we set rules at 9 for MAD and MDD, 10 is not much different from 8.

    possible.. not smart enough to call bottom & peak.. most time is just guessing..
    the daily bar is bearish, but volume is small..
    it is still inside of the big falling wedge.. market may wait for more data for direction..
