改组银行, 弄清底细是测试的目的.

银行业最怕的资金短缺引起的恐慌. 既然O8/FED已经说最困难的时候已经过去了(恐慌), 就这个节骨眼上, 我相信不会因为测试再闹出什么银行破产, 飞妖蛾子出来.

I don't think so.
A bull is coming. the reason the result is delayed is  they don't want the test result too good to be true, considering the Chrysler BK caused a little bit panic. They would reconcile a mildly good result to keep the people's confidence in high.  
can you  imagine they will release a bad result to ruin people 's faith in Economy, to deny what they have done in the past 2 months?
faith is more important than truth at this stage.
again, I do believe a blow-up bull is coming, led by financial industry. MM has been on the train, ready to ride!

I agree with starfish111. The original plan in Feburary was not to release individual results but genearl results (that makes sense because the goal of the test is to make sure the banks are able to survive to lend money out after the government's help, no bankruptcy possibilitites at all); BUt later on, they changed the mind and want to release details. Only one possibility: the result is positive!

once the bull trigger had been pulled, the bull-bear balance around DJIA 8000 will be broken.
the shorts have to cover their positions to stop loss, which consequently push the market even higher.
on the other hand, what about the bear trigger? no way. the government will keep the market from freely falling. in the long run, the longs might be disappointed, but not now.
