thanks for sharing a lot of good thoughts. my lessons 1. Spend more time to observe the market than rushing to trade in a hurry. 2. be disciplined to the entry & exit and cut-loss ( all my big loss came from the wishful thinking) 3. Last but not the least, don't trade against the trend.

I have to say I trade ES. above are 3 trades I made on Last Friday, 2 shorts, 1 long (use 1/2 of short positions made earlier as it is counter trend trade). Also I want to point out there are several most dangerous time spots for day trade: (1) 11:30-11:45 area, this is the time when day-traders exit the trades (2) 12:30 +-5 minutes This is the time to decide if longs and shorts who are most scared to hold through overnight, (3) last 10 minutes, who is going to win and who is most scared to look forward for next day. See last Friday's last 5 mins sell off do scared me even I already exited my ES position. That basically gave me chill feeling that next week we might crash down the 840 line once the support is gone. So BE CAREFUL..Also remember first counter trend push up after the day start always fails, that fits both long and short, gap ups and downs. Hope my little experience helps. You can try paper trades to get familiar to any trading system to see if it fits your style. It is worth to understand yourself before decide to adapt other's method. Yes, I agree, I print 5 min charts that clearly marks my day trades everynight, where I entered, where I exited, why I made mistakes, why I loss a great trade oppotunity, etc. So try to improve my trading method and skills. I am still learning everyday from success and failures. This is the best time in life to learn how to trade and become a disciplined trader.
