If you don't believe it, forget it, use your own method!

If you want to research on it, go to read the Vanguard Index funds history. There are tons of articles and data about it.

It is difficult to calculate the return, because money is not put in all at one time. But is there any comparison of return with that of sp500? If it beats sp500, it definitely beats most of the mutual fund. Thank you.

No, it does not beat SP500, period!

If you want to beat SP500. go ahead to do your speculation, you have less than 5% of chance of beating SP500, and 70% of chance stable losing money or losing everything!

Where is the other 25% chance goes, you have ~5% chance of making money, but less then SP500. or ~20% chance of making nothing and getting about even.
