I think what he refers to is the mid - long term trend, which need to be distinguished from the short term or DT trend. But in the meantime he has made some accurate calls for ST and DT recently.

I hope your actual trades were not so negative to his opinions as your post. Trust me. Sometimes it's helpful to listen to different opinions.

What's so great about HT is that we had Coolmax last year when the market was really bullish, and then we had X!ng when the market turned around this year. Timing wise, the transition was just wonderful. Of course, we have our master Cobra and many big shrimps. I wholeheartedly appreciate this great place!
