i will discuss more once i get some free time ... but the basic idea is that you need to watch distribution days in the major indices and watch top growth stocks' price and vol action. As both should dictate the market directions.

When trend starts to change, u will see distribution days mounting up ... and top growth stocks experiences heavy selloffs, many will break down on vol and violate the key moving averages ...

stock market leads the economic numbers, growth stocks lead the stock market indices ... so by observing both ... u will almost never miss the stock market btm and top ...

vol is actually low across the board ... so this is not an official follow through day, but nonetheless it is a solid upday.

Vol has been running hot through out the day, but dropped off by end of the day. Tuesday was the end of day fund rebalance, so it is a tough comparison.

Tomorrow and Friday should be very important with payroll data. If the market can build on today's gains, i think the trend should resume to up.

small cap is ripping, it is already above the Nov high, sox is very strong, so are retails (rth). Oils are soild making new highs xop/oih/xle ...

so there is nothing to complain about the market ...

money is made on the long side ... so go with the trend.

Market has resumed the uptrend. The uptrend started from Sept 1st has never entered a full fledged correction in Nov. The consolidation and shake out in Nov set the market up for a nice rally in the year end and possibly into early next year.

The participation of the uptrend is broad with energy, transportation, small cap and sox leading the way. The tape is nothing but bullish.

The Investors' Intelligence survey has elevated bullish sentiment with bulls at 55%, bear 21%; However like overbought indicators in a strong bull trend, these readings can not and should not be used to ping point the market tops. They are always secondary to price and vol action of the major indices and top growth stocks.

All my holdings are in solid uptrend with a big chunk allocated to gold/silver/urraninum;

Stay long until the trend changes. Don't anticipate the market tops, it will cost ya.
