RUMOR:
“We’re hearing about a rumor of possible increase in discount rate,” said Michael Nasto, the senior trader at U.S. Global Investors Inc., which manages about $2.5 billion in San Antonio. “That’s why we’re seeing the pullback in the stock market.”
The Fed last announced an increase in the discount rate charged to banks for direct loans after financial markets closed on Feb. 18, lifting it by a quarter percentage point to 0.75 percent and saying the move would encourage banks to rely more on money markets for short-term liquidity needs. The S&P 500 fell as much as 0.5 percent the next day, before rebounding and closing with a 0.2 percent gain.
‘Never Leak’
“The possibility of a discount rate hike would never leak out of the Fed,” said Peter Boockvar, an equity strategist at Miller Tabak & Co. in New York. “We would only know when we see it.”

放RUMOR把SPX打到1150比较符合最大利益. 但现在这么墨迹,能到1150么?
1170CALL OI也不少,所以不会到1170. |
