Some, including me, believe the market has "trend" with its "rhythmics" superimposed with noises. Spectrum analysis is one way to separate the trend from noises.
I like to share a DSP (digital signal processing) indicator I loaded over the weekend. The indicator applies FFT to the time-series market data and here is showing the top eight frequencies by magnitude.
On M15 chart, we can see three frequencies stands out of the eight, and of which two were currently on their up cycle that caused the price action this morning. Notice also one of the three is topping, and could soon join the other for their down cycle this afternoon.
On Daily chart, the "main theme" (one frequency dominates) is topping. Will see. Keep in mind I'm like most of you and am looking at this indicator "the first time". Certainly an interesting way looking at the market
