Good revenue but earnings shy. Not a big problem to me, it has lots of initiatives that are going to pay off.

记得上次ER是好的, 只是forecast不好, AH就从595跌到570, 然后没几天就到了540.

这次没有大跌的理由，营收增加26%，盈利不够好是因为研发投入幅度大，实际上GOOG很容易超过预期，但
它选择发展，我没啥意见。

GOOG这个季度不好没啥惊奇的，微软的血本竞争到6月才结束；美元这样疯狂，对海外生意也不利。

GOOG的业务现在多管齐下，摆地铺就是了。

    You don't quite understand what google is doing - driving everything to the web. Whatever the
free services it provides, they invite you to surf. More and more traffic will translate to more ads.
Google is a 'ad' company (though it tries to break into the cloud computing biz), and ads need viewers.
People are reading less mags and newspapers, watching less TVs, spending more time on the web
and cellphones. The free services also has another potential benefit - drive rivals out of biz. Once it
dominates the web, then it can gradually increase "display" ads which is Yahoo's bread and butter.

   Also, once it develops and deploys a service, it can reduce or cut the r&d team. So after a few years,
I expect its r&d costs and management costs will go down.

That is import, R&D will continue for a while and that hits the price now. I am not talking the future of GOOG. i am talking about the price of GOOG this year.

今天盘后GOOG涨了10块钱. 我同意everest001. 我的观点就是: 我看好google的云计算的未来; 但是, 他现在make money我现在买, 如果现在不make money我现在只好不买, 哪怕我觉得将来他多么牛,我将来再买. 我心里觉得google会干掉msft的, 用云计算. btw,我不认为google只是search, AD公司, 他也是网络OS公司.
