It is a hard question.
For intraday swing, I will try to have 1/3.
But for scalp, sometime is 1/1. For example, the price range of H&S pattern of ES top of today is 7 ticks, I shorted when the neck ling is broken with the first target of 7 ticks. But I gain more than that...
Normally, I don't really count the risk/reward ratio when I am trading. I am more focusing  on support and resistance (minor and major) and pattern as well, which is the key that I believed. It is hard to predict what will happen after the current bar closed.
