The importance is independent thinking. There might be multiple paths, but only one truth. Don't just do it because Buffett/Simon/Goldman/Whatever did it. Most people follow and never ask why. Maybe they can't figure out why. (Why EMA20? Why SMA200? Why TA breaks down and the price still goes up? Why FA does not matter now?) They are not the pioneers.

That's all I can say here. I will stop following up this thread from now on.

Becoming a pioneer is a common dream in the age of lone heroes. Cooperation is more pragmatic in this world of globalization. Economic-wise, communication fuels more ideas and trading improves utilities. Borrowing investment terms, being a pioneer has high risk/reward ratio, while being a follower might cap the upside of the profit, but has much less exposure to the risk. Furthermore, followers do become pioneers when they outlive who they follow. I'm just kidding.

I didn't mean lone heros. I meant more being a leader, not necessarily with titles, and independent thinking.
