就我这个新手的感觉，这个止损只能存在大脑之中，然后实时盯盘，手动止损。
因为MM在向某一方向运动之前，大多会向反方向击破支撑（阻力），扫掉止损单。

只有把止损设在下一个支撑（阻力），容许更大一些的损失。

股市的幅度大的abrupt change全部对Market Mover有利，只要你有一次和abrupt change做反了，你就被干掉了所有利润不说，还要亏本----change越abrupt，你亏得就越多。

以上是假设不做保护的情况。

保护的做法很多，但都是防止MM以这种超出你能忍受的幅度来搞你的。
stop-loss是最简单的dummy's protection，option里玩法就复杂了。

If you are impatient, and like take control, you may perfer the way Coolmax suggested, set up tight STOP, just give a try, doesnt cost you too much, so that you use your limited money for gaining

I set up STOP midnignt today at 2am, to my big surprise, sogo trade completed it in less than 10 mins! yes, 2 AM ! I am glad, i am out before the trade started at much lower price.

个人意见...
做空风险无限。。还是不要死嗑的好。(还有被强制平仓的危险depends on broker)
做多死嗑，算是对长期有信心吧。

死嗑要有好的money management, 要选好股，最好dividend 较多的。

Buy and hold is for long term(mostly FA). It is a very bad solution for (short term)TA guys.

If you play TA, cut loss is a must.

至少那样你不会买99-00年Nasdaq，也不会上89年日经的套。Security Analysis读懂了，什么Enron, Nortel, Worldcom, AIG, Fannie Mae的陷阱全部都能躲过。这些骗子玩的计量，1934年时早就出现过了！

我现在越来越觉得这个STOP－LOSS并不见得让你少亏。象几个星期前我SHORT GS。如果不STOP－LOSS，今天还不是一样出水了。

我觉得特别是ETFS，INDEXES，好象死磕也能熬出头，不用总用去看波波， 又累人，好象也没省 ...
