Yes, the marker may very well have another crush in the future (say, nextg year).  But if SPX does get to 1000, 1100 or 1200 in the next couple of month, how much loss will bears of today have suffered? In fact, how many bears will have the mental power to hold if SPX shoot up another 100 points?

Well, if you are scared, then you are not capable of acting as a true bear. To be bear, first you need to be brave. Remember at any point, there are always people expecting higher indice that could easily scare away weak minds.

Both short and mid term trends are up according to the Laodas here, you should go challenge them.  Btw, just seeing how many bear threads you open a day is probably a good indicator that the market has more upside.

You should not only check TA, but check FA. FA will tell you more about long term (even middle term) while TA tells you more about short term.
