NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Analysts at J.P. Morgan lifted their rating on Continental Airlines Inc. (CAL 10.60, +0.55, +5.47%) on Tuesday to overweight from neutral, citing an overcorrection in the carrier's shares. "It is Continental's peer-leading share price decline that has us scratching our heads," they wrote. "[I]n the absence of any particular demand or liquidity catalyst to account for its above-average price decline, we are inclined to believe that a classic over-correction has occurred, with potentially profitable implications for near-term price recovery." Shares of Continental closed Monday at $10.05. The analysts maintained their year-end price target of $13 on Continental's shares. |
