Feb 19 (Reuters) - Commerzbank (CBKG.DE) wants to pay bonuses to its staff for business year 2010, according to a German weekly on Saturday, citing board member Ulrich Sieber.

The bank is obliged to pay bonuses because of the "extraordinary" accomplishments of its employees as well as for the successful integration of Dresdner Bank, Sieber told WirtschaftsWoche.

The bonuses will add up to a low three-digit-million euro figure, he said.

He said the bonus payments have been cleared with the government, which took a stake in the bank after providing an 18 billion euro ($24.41 billion) bailout following the collapse of investment bank Lehman Bros.

Commerzbank is due to publish its fourth-quarter figures on Feb 23.

Feb 23 (Reuters) - Commerzbank (CBKG.DE) said it would start repaying state aid in 2011 as it swung to a fourth quarter net profit thanks to a rebounding economy which boosted its investment banking and midsize German companies divisions.

Net profit in the fourth quarter rose to 257 million euros ($352 million), from a 1.86 billion euro loss in the year-earlier quarter. Analysts had forecast a fourth quarter net profit of 132 million euros. [ID:nLDE71H1SS] (Reporting by Edward Taylor)

Zu den Kursgewinnern im DAX  zählen Commerzbank, die um 1,9% auf 6,34 EUR zulegen. "Die Nachricht schlechthin ist, dass die Commerzbank bereits 2011 einen signifikanten Anteil der Staatshilfen zurückzahlen will", sagt Michael Rohr, Analyst bei Silvia Quandt Research. Die Viertquartalszahlen der Bank seien solide.
